Detroit Lions sign former Georgia LB Natrez Patrick

Heading into the 2022 NFL Draft, many hoped the Detroit Lions would land Georgia LB Nakobe Dean.

Well, the Lions passed on Dean multiple times and he ended up being selected by the Philadelphia Eagles.

On Monday, the Lions got their Georgia LB as they have reportedly signed OLB Natrez Patrick, who was at rookie minicamp this weekend on a tryout.

In a corresponding move, the Lions have waived OLB Jessie Lemonier.

Patrick, who is 24, has spent two seasons in the NFL, playing 25 games for the Los Angeles Rams from 2019 to 2020, primarily as a special teams player.
