Pittman, who served as a team captain at Wayne State for the past two seasons, was hoping to be selected in the 2019 NFL Draft but that did not happen.
From Draft Analyst:
Positives:
Smooth run-and-chase linebacker with limited size. Quick, breaks down well and moves well in every direction of the field. Displays the ability to immediately alter his angle of attack, gets depth on pass drops and possesses a closing burst of speed. Outstanding in pursuit and runs down opponents in the open field. Remains disciplined with assignments and does not bite on ball fakes.
Negatives:
Does not use his hands well. Slow to get off blocks. Shows little in the way of strength. Possesses questionable instincts.
Analysis:
Pittman possesses the computer numbers to be a linebacker in today's NFL, as he's able to get from point A to point B very quickly to make the play. That being the case, he needs a lot of work on his overall game and must improve his strength and instincts to have any chance to make a Sunday roster.
