Detroit Lions sign P Jack Fox to mega-deal

The Detroit Lions certainly have a ton of holes on their roster, but the punter position is not one of them as Jack Fox is the best of the best. On Saturday, Fox was rewarded with a mega-deal.

What does the mega-deal for Jack Fox look like?

According to a report from Ian Rapoport, Fox is signing a 3-year extension that makes him the NFL’s highest-paid punter at $3.775M per year with $7.5M guaranteed.

As noted by Rapoport, Fox was set to become a restricted free agent following the 2022 season.

Since coming into the league in 2020, Fox has arguably been one of the best punters in football and the stats prove that.

In his first season with the Lions, he was named to the Pro Bowl roster when he averaged 49.2 yards per punt.
