Detroit Lions to wear special uniform combo vs. Las Vegas Raiders
This coming Monday, the Detroit Lions will look to get back in the win column when they host the Las Vegas Raiders on Monday Night Football. When the Lions come running out of the tunnel at Ford Field, they will do so in a uniform/helmet combo that they have never worn.
What uniform combo will the Detroit Lions wear on Monday Night Football?
When the Lions take the field on Monday Night Football, they will do so in their gray color rush uniforms along with their brand-new alternate helmet. The new helmet includes a matte gray facemask, and the particular shade of blue used on the helmet is unprecedented in the history of the NFL.
Why it Matters
Back in June, the Lions' introduced alternate blue helmets that pay tribute to the organization's legacy by featuring a timeless logo from the 1960s. The Lions are set to don these helmets along with their all-gray alternate uniforms for two games during the 2023-24 season. They will wear them on Monday Night Football, facing the Las Vegas Raiders on October 30, and in Week 18 when they take on the Minnesota Vikings.
