As the Detroit Lions final 53-man roster slowly and surely begins to take shape, there’s still the business of figuring out exactly who will make up those names when gameplay rolls around later this month.
According to a report from NFL.com’s Tom Pelissero, the Lions are bringing in former Houston Texans running back D’Onta Foreman for a workout.
Standing at 6’1 and 246 lbs, he 24 year old Texas native was drafted by Houston in the third round of the 2017 NFL Draft after playing college ball at the University of Texas at Austin, where he earned the Doak Walker Award as as the top running back in college football. He was also Consensus All American and First Team All Big-12 in 2016.
However, last year he was waived by the Texans for alleged poor habits. He also spent time within the Indianapolis Colts, and also tried out for the Tennessee Titans earlier this year.
