The Detroit Lions handed fans an early Christmas gift on Monday, and they didn’t even make us wait until the 25th to unwrap it.
On Instagram, the team posted a festive message that read, “Hold and scroll to unwrap an early Christmas present 🎁”. Naturally, Lions fans did exactly that… and the surprise was worth it.
As you scroll through the post, the big reveal drops: Detroit will rock their all-black uniform combo when they take on the Minnesota Vikings on the road on Christmas Day.
The all-black look has become one of the most popular alternates among fans, and seeing it return for a nationally televised holiday matchup only adds to the excitement. The black jersey, black pants, and black helmet combo has a clean, intimidating edge, perfect for a divisional showdown in late December.
So yes, the Lions may still have work to do in the playoff race, but at least we already know they’ll look incredible doing it on Christmas.
