Detroit Lions waive running back to make room for S Jayron Kearse

According to the Detroit Lions, they have activated S Jayron Kearse from the Exempt/Commissioner Permission list, and in a corresponding move, they have released RB Ty Johnson.

Johnson was selected by the Lions in the 6th round of the 2019 NFL Draft. This also explains why he did not practice on Thursday but was also not listed on the injury report.
