How the Detroit Lions will ‘replace’ WR Marvin Jones Jr.

On Tuesday, the Detroit Lions surprised us by announcing that wide receiver Marvin Jones Jr. was being placed on Injured Reserve, ending this 2019 campaign.

With three games remaining in the regular season, the Lions will have to decide how they will ‘replace’ Jones Jr. and the solution will likely come from in-house.

With Jones Jr. out for the season, look for the Lions to lean on Chris Lacy to step up.

Lacy, who is 23, has yet to catch his first pass as he has primarily been on special teams in the four games he has played this season.

Now, there is no way Lacy will truly replace Jones Jr., but it will certainly be interesting to see what he brings to the table.

Lacy’s first chance to shine will come this Sunday when the Lions host the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Ford Field.
