According to reports, the New England Patriots have just cut WR Braxton Berrios.

Berrios, as I have noted since Jermaine Kearse suffered a season-ending injury in the Detroit Lions first preseason game, is a slot receiver who would fit in perfectly if he became available. He is a Julien Edelman/Danny Amendola type receiver who has great body control and can move well in space.

Though he was a sixth-round pick by the Patriots in 2018, Berrios is a speedster who will get open against even the best slot CBs in the league. In addition, the youngster has the ability to return punts at a high level, which is always a plus when Lions’ GM Bob Quinn is evaluating talent.
Though there will be other teams in the mix, I believe that Berrios is a player who will soon be a Detroit Lion.
Here are a few of his college highlights for you to savor.
