We had our fingers crossed and the Detroit Lions just announced that rookie WR Amon-Ra St. Brown has been named the NFC Offensive Rookie of the Month for December.
vs. Minnesota Vikings – 10 catches for 86 yards, 1 TD
at Denver Broncos – 8 catches for 73 yards
vs. Arizona Cardinals – 8 catches for 90 yards, 1 TD
at Atlanta Falcons – 9 catches for 91 yards, 1 TD
Folks, that is a grand total of 35 catches for 340 yards and 3 touchdowns.
In case you were wondering, Cincinnati Bengals rookie phenom Ja'marr Chase had 18 catches for 257 yards and 2 TDs in the month of December.
As noted by the Lions PR department, St. Brown is only the 5th Lion to win an offensive rookie of the month award & the 1st to do so since Jahvid Best in September of 2010.
