Are the Detroit Lions zooming their way to Tua Tagovailoa?

The Detroit Lions have the third overall draft selection in this year’s NFL Draft, and they’re banking on whomever they take to have a big effect toward’s making a return to the playoffs.

And while they’ve been linked to defensive players from Ohio State like Jeff Okudah and Chase Young, many would like to see them take former Alabama quarterback Tua Tagovailoa given the history of start Matthew Stafford‘s back issues.

According to NFL.com writer Mike Garafolo, the Lions recently held a virtual meeting with Tagovailoa.

However, there remains the possibility that the Lions could trade back in the draft. NFL Insider Ian Rapoport tweeted earlier that fans ought to pay attention to what the Lions could do, as teams have reportedly been receptive in potential talks:
