The 2022 NBA Draft will take place this coming Thursday night and Detroit Pistons GM Troy Weaver is going to have an ultra-important decision to make when his team is on the clock with the No. 5 overall pick.
Some players who have been mentioned as potential targets for the Pistons are Jaden Ivey (Purdue), Keegan Murray (Iowa), Shaedon Sharpe (Kentucky), and Bennedict Mathurin (Arizona)

Detroit Pistons land Jerami Grant’s replacement in latest 2022 NBA Mock Draft
When it comes to potential NBA trades leading up to the 2022 NBA Draft, Detroit Pistons forward Jerami Grant is a player that is mentioned as much as anyone.
In fact, many believe it is just a matter of time before the Pistons trade Grant, who is heading into the final year of his current contract.
In his latest 2022 NBA Mock Draft, Sam Vecenie of The Athletic has the Pistons selecting Keegan Murray with the No. 5 overall pick.
Note: Jaden Ivey went No. 4 to the Sacramento Kings, so he was off the board. Both Sharpe and Mathurian were still available.

Keegan Murray | 6-8 forward | 21 years old | Iowa
As our Pistons’ beat writer James Edwards has reported multiple times over the course of the draft process — most recently last week — Murray has quite a few fans in the Detroit front office. He would fit exceedingly well with Cade Cunningham and Saddiq Bey offensively as long-term building blocks and would open the door for the team to have a ready-made replacement if it so decides to move on from Jerami Grant this offseason. I think this one would come down to Murray or Arizona wing Bennedict Mathurin. Mathurin had a very strong workout in Detroit and is absolutely in play in this spot
