Born and raised in Detroit, I grew up a fan of Detroit sports. Sports has been my #1 love for as long as I can remember. I am currently a software developer (my day job) who joined this team to express my love for the game.

Head coach Dwane Casey was not able to get his revenge tonight against his former team, as the Detroit Pistons (2-3) fell to the Toronto Raptors (4-1) tonight on the road 125-113. The Pistons never really got it going tonight, trailing the entire second, third and fourth quarter in this one.

Andre Drummond finished the night with 21 points and 22 rebounds while shooting 10-17 from the floor. This is the second time Drummond has scored at least 20 points and grabbed 20 rebounds in a game this season. The first was during the season opener in a win against the Indiana Pacers when he scored 32 points to go along with 23 rebounds.

Drummond had help from Derrick Rose again, who finished with 16 points and 10 assists. Markieff Morris finished the night with 16 points and five rebounds. Luke Kennard joined the starting lineup again tonight but finished with only three points on 1 of 6 shooting. Langston Galloway had his best game of the season so far, scoring 16 points from the bench.

Rose continues to look like a great off-season pickup for Detroit. He leads the team this season in scoring and assists.

Blake Griffin (hamstring, knee) and Reggie Jackson (back) were both in street clothes tonight as they are still nursing their injuries. The Pistons are expecting Blake back during the first week of November. Jackson did not travel with the team and is expected to miss Friday’s game against the Chicago Bulls.

For Toronto, Pascal Siakam went off for 30 points, five rebounds, five assists, and two steals. Siakam was recently signed to an extension worth 130 million dollars on a four-year deal. Kyle Lowry scored 20 points for the Raptors while adding five rebounds and eight assists.  Lowry also recently signed an extension with the Raptors worth 31 million dollars for one season. Toronto had six players in total score at least 13 points in tonight’s game.

Drummond is on an expiring deal this season. He will be looking for a max extension during the next off-season, but whether that contract comes from Detroit or another NBA team depends on how the rest of the season goes for the Pistons.

The Pistons continue their road trip this Friday in Chicago to face the Chicago Bulls before heading back home this Saturday to take on the Brooklyn Nets.
