The Pistons have done it. They filed/formed a trademark for the Stan Van Gundy Battle Cry(NSFW)!
Courtesy of Detroit Bad Boys, “Anil V. George, Sr. Intellectual Property Counsel for the NBA, filed a trademark application with the United States Patent & Trademark Office on behalf of the Detroit Pistons.”. That’s right, soon that #FAFW t-shirt will be sold in the Palace, in Meijer and all over the great State of Michigan. Granted the trademark is only for FORM A WALL due to a copyright law “restricting trademarks on curse words”. That’s a shame but at least we will be able to get more of these:

Here are the statutes for the commercial side of the trademark for FORM A WALL:
“IC 025. US 022 039. It looks there’s a good chance of getting some playoff tees with SVG’s now trademarked phrase. It’s great to have something of our own for Detroit Pistons fans. All I can say is #FAFW!!!
