Although the Detroit Pistons have already made several signings there are still a number of rumors concerning potential trades that have yet to happen.

You don’t need to place a bet on the Pistons signing Kalin Lucas as this has already happened! In fact, Isaiah Whitehead is also part of the new line-up and veterans Ish Smith, Jose Calderon and Langston Galloway are all helping to ensure that the Pistons have a real chance this year.

But, with these signings, we are seeing a team that has 7 players out of 17 able to man the point guard position. That’s a lot and suggests that a further trade may be made in the near future.

Of course, this may be a strategic move by the Pistons to allow two point guards in their lineups but it also suggests that Jackson could be in a trading position.  It’s unlikely that Smith or Bullock will be trade options as the Piston will be looking to re-sign them both during the offseason. That’s despite the fact that Bullock has made 39.8% of his three-point attempts; enough to get some serious interest from most other teams.

Unfortunately, Reggie Jackson is one of the most likely trades in order to boost the strength of the remaining Pistons.  Jackson has struggled to find his groove as a spot-up shooter and having experienced several injuries. This makes him one of the most likely options to trade; although if you’re going to put a bet on it make sure you use a reputable site and thoroughly research the laws that affect sports betting in your country or state.

The simple fact is that the Pistons are interested in Markelle Fultz, Jackson is one of the most logical trades to make for him although the salary difference does add an element of uncertainty.

Fultz is currently dealing with a shoulder injury, this does add an element of the unknown to any trade as there is no guarantee he will return to his peak form.  With this in mind, it is possible that Bullock would become a trade target instead, allowing Fultz to team with Blake or perhaps Dre and boost the Pistons presence at the rim.

It is possible that the Pistons will continue with the team they have as they have few players that the Mavericks will seem as worthwhile trading against Fultz; that’s why we may not see anything happen with this trade until the season has got started.

Dennis Smith

There is also a good chance that the Mavericks will make a deal regarding Dennis Smith Jr. Although Smith is rumored not to have asked for a transfer there has been a large amount of tension between him and head coach, Rick Carlisle. A transfer may be just what both of these need; the Mavericks and Smith could certainly boost the Pistons line-up.

Whatever happens, it’s highly likely that the Pistons will complete at least one more trade before the season ends; perhaps it will be enough to revitalize the team.
