The Detroit Pistons are looking to improve on last year’s record of 41-41 and an albeit brief playoff appearance, and they believe they’ve made the necessary team additions to make that hope a reality in 2020.
“I really believe in the offseason, with a trade (for Snell), with the funds we had available in free agency, we got players here,” Ed Stefanski, senior adviser to owner Tom Gores, said. “And there’s no question our depth has improved.”
Former NBA MVP Derrick Rose is now a Piston after a resurgent year with the Minnesota Timberwolves. Also in the fold are seven-time All-Star Joe Johnson and veteran power forward Markieff Morris as well as Tony Snell, Tim Frazier, Christian Wood and first-round pick Sekou Doumbouya.
