The Detroit Pistons have been getting consistent production out of No. 1 overall NBA Draft selection Cade Cunningham, and they have visions of him eventually taking the title of one of the top athletes in the city's illustrious sports history.
And while there's no shortage of great athletes in Motor City sports, Cunningham has listed whom he believes to be the best, and it's none other than the best running back in NFL history who happened to suit up for the Detroit Lions.
“I'm gonna go with Barry Sanders, and my fellow Oklahoma State alum,” he said. “Barry Sanders, best Detroit athlete of all time.”

Of course, Sanders is an elite choice with his 109 career touchdowns and 15,269 yards over the course of his Hall of Fame career.
Cunningham was rewarded for his efforts by being named the NBA's Rookie of the Month for January, averaging 17.3 PPG for the month while leading all Eastern Conference rookies in assists per game with 5.6.
