Some were surprised when former Big Ten Player of the Year Luka Garza fell to the Detroit Pistons with the No. 52 overall pick in the 2021 NBA Draft.
But despite falling to the second round, Garza has had a great attitude and he has worked extremely hard to drop some weight so that he can run the floor with the bigs in the NBA.
Now Garza’s hard work has paid off as he has agreed to a new two-year contract with the Pistons.
The Detroit Pistons are signing rookie center Luka Garza to a new two-year contract, his agents Mike Kneisley and Odell Witherspoon told @TheAthletic @Stadium. Garza, the No. 52 pick, has his two-way converted to a full NBA deal.
