Detroit rapper Eminem gives shoutout to Lions QB Matthew Stafford

Detroit Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford has been vocal about his support in recent weeks for social justice causes, and recently penned a 2,000 word article on his belief of the importance of athletes to use their platforms to raise awareness to such causes.

This caught the attention of Detroit-based rapper Marshall Mathers, better known by his stage name of Eminem.

Mathers gave Stafford a shoutout on his social media account, echoing Stafford's sentiments of using one's platform to speak out:

In addition to having ten No. 1 albums on the Billboard 200, Eminem has won 15 Grammy Awards, eight American Music Awards, 17 Billboard Music Awards, an Academy Award and a MTV Europe Music Global Icon Award, and is one of the most influential celebrities who hail from the Motor City.
