The entire 2017-2018 NHL schedule will be released until tomorrow but on Wednesday, the Detroit Red Wings announced that they will play their home opener at Little Caesars Arena on Thursday, October 5th when they take the ice against the Minnesota Wild.

The Red Wings, of course, will be playing their first season at Little Caesars Arena after moving from the Joe Louis Arena following the 2016-2017 season.
They will be looking to continue their success during home openers as the Wings try for their 5th straight Opening Night win.
Nation, will the LCA prove to be a big home-ice advantage for the Red Wings, or will their roster prevent them from getting back to the Stanley Cup Playoffs this season?
