On Saturday night, a scary scene took place as Detroit Red Wings forward Anthony Mantha was slammed to the ice by Toronto Maple Leafs defenseman Jake Muzzin. When Mantha hit, his head bounced off the ice, causing him to leave for the locker room.

The Red Wings announced on Sunday that Mantha was being placed on Injured Reserve with what was being called an upper-body injury.
On Sunday night, Mantha took to Instagram to post a message to both his supporters and those wishing him harm.
“RESPECT” to the ones sending me good thoughts, i’ll be back hopfully sooner than later! And to those who wish me to have head trauma- I hope you guys enter 2020 with a more positive and compassionate mindset!
