According to Detroit Red Wings head coach Jeff Blashill, defenseman Jonathan Ericsson has suffered a setback (soft tissue issue) and will sit out the rest of the exhibition season.

Though Blashill did not specify exactly the “setback” was referring to, it could be related to the lower-body injury that caused Ericsson to miss the end of the Red Wings 2018-2019 season.
In 52 games last season, Ericsson scored three goals and had two assists.
