The short-lived “Jonathan Ericsson back in the NHL” era has come to an end.
The Detroit Red Wings announced today that they’ve sent the lumbering defenseman back down to the AHL’s Grand Rapids Griffins.

He had been waived by the team in late October before being recalled from the Griffins earlier this month due to numerous injures on the team. In seven games played, he amassed a -7 plus/minus rating with no points.
