Detroit Red Wings give update on Tyler Bertuzzi’s surgery

Red Wings News Reports

Following a solid 2019-20 season with the Detroit Red Wings, the hope was that LW Tyler Bertuzzi would take another step forward in his progress in 2020-21.

Unfortunately, Bertuzzi only got to play in nine games this season before going down with an upper-body (back) injury which ended his campaign.

On Wednesday, the Red Wings gave an update on Bertuzzi, saying he underwent successful back surgery on April 30 and that he is expected to make a full recovery and be ready to go for the 2021-22 season.

This is obviously great news as the Red Wings could certainly use Bertuzzi back in their lineup.
