Most believed that the Detroit Red Wings goaltenders for the 2021-22 season would be Jonathan Bernier and Thomas Greiss but that may not be the case.
According to a report from Renaud Lavoie, Bernier, who will be an unrestricted free agent, has decided to test the free-agent waters and see what is out there for him.
If Bernier does leave the Motor City, Steve Yzerman will be charged with the task of bringing in another goalie.
Another goalie hitting the market. Hearing that Jonathan Bernier will be available on July 28 after making the decision to see what’s out there for him. He was with the @DetroitRedWings for the last 3 seasons.
