The Detroit Red Wings have just 10 games left on their regular-season schedule and then their focus will shift toward the 2021 NHL Draft, which will take place on July 23.
As we speak, the Red Wings currently have the sixth-best odds to land the No. 1 overall pick but when I hopped on Tankathon today and clicked the simulate button just once, guess what happened? That’s right, it only took me one simulation to land the Red Wings with the No. 1 overall pick.
As you can see below, if the Red Wings win the No. 1 pick, the Tankathon mock draft has them selecting D Owen Power out of the University of Michigan.
Power, who is TSN’s unanimous No. 1 ranked player at this point, had 3 goals and 13 assists for the Wolverines this past season.
Here is a look at the top 16 picks in the Mock Draft.
