According to a recent Expansion Mock Draft published in the Athletic, the Kraken will poach D Troy Stecher from the Red Wings.
Here is The Atheltic's rationale for the Kraken taking Stecher.
Troy Stecher, D: There were two options from the Red Wings: Troy Stecher or Vladislav Namestnikov. It came down to positional preference and the fact Stecher was a right shot, a player type that was a bit scarce among the players available. The Red Wings didn’t have many great options, but Stecher has shown flashes of being something more and has strong puck-moving ability. He has the potential to play a top-four role and has some experience in that regard relative to other options.
Nation, which player do you think the Red Wings will lose?
