Not only did the Wings lose to the Ottawa Senators, who are the worst team in the NHL in terms of points, but they also lost one of their alternate captains along the way as forward Luke Glendening was forced to leave the game with an “upper-body” injury.

Following the game, Red Wings coach Jeff Blashill told media members that Glendening will miss some time and he will know more on Friday.

The loss was the Wings sixth-straight as they drop to 3-7-0 (6 points) on the season. Their -15 goal differential is currently the worst in the NHL.
