On Saturday, the Detroit Red Wings played their final game of the 2018-2019 season and to say they did not show up against the Buffalo Sabres would be an understatement.

Heading into the game, the Red Wings and Sabres had an identical record as they took the ice at Little Caesars Arena. The Wings had been one of the hottest teams in the NHL as of late while the Sabres had struggled to find wins but that did not matter as Buffalo dominated from the get-go on way to a 7-1 victory.

With the loss, the Red Wings guaranteed themselves the fourth-worst record in the National Hockey League, giving them a 9.5% chance of landing the No. 1 pick when the Draft Lottery is held this coming Tuesday. They have a 28.8% chance of landing a top 3 pick in the 2019 NHL Draft.
