Detroit sports teams and athletes participate in Blackout Tuesday

Detroit sports teams have taken to social media to voice their support of the Black Lives Matter movement.

Music executives Jamila Thomas and Brianna Agyemang organized “Blackout Tuesday” to show solidarity over the death of George Floyd in Minnesota.

Several Detroit athletes also joined in, including Justin Abdelkader, Tyler Bertuzzi and Amani Oruwariye.
