Detroit Tigers 2019 season mercifully cut short

For those of you who have been saying since April that you don't think you will be able to handle 162 Detroit Tigers games, this news is for you.

On Friday, the Tigers were in Chicago to start up the final series of their 2019 season. In fact, the Tigers were set to play a doubleheader against the White Sox on Friday and then finish the season with a single game on both Saturday and Sunday.

But apparently Mother Nature has also had enough Tigers baseball as Friday's doubleheader was rained out.

Now, instead of playing four games in Chicago this weekend, the Tigers will only play three (doubleheader on Saturday and one game on Sunday) which means they will play 161 total games this season instead.

With rain possible on both Saturday and Sunday, who knows, maybe they will just cancel the rest of the season!

Wishful thinking.
