Detroit Tigers 3B Jeimer Candelario earns recognition from MLB

He's earned AL player of the week honors.

The Detroit Tigers chances of the playoffs are slipping away following several losses this past week, some in blowout fashion.

However, it’s not all doom and gloom.

Third baseman Jeimer Candelario has earned some recognition from Major League Baseball, earning AL Player of the Week honors, as announced on MLB Network.

He’s enjoying a breakout season for the Tigers, hitting .325 with 7 home runs and 28 RBI in 2020.
