Detroit Tigers announce flurry of cuts as roster dwindles to 46

On Saturday morning, the Detroit Tigers announced a flurry of roster cuts and the Spring Training roster now sits at 46.

In all, the Tigers made six cuts, including the following:

– LHP Miguel Del Pozo optioned to Triple-A Toledo.

– INF Kody Clemens to AAA.

– INF Zack Short to AAA.

– RHP Drew Carlton reassigned to minor-league camp.

– INF Josh Lester to MiLB camp.

– OF Jacob Robson to MiLB camp.

In addition, the Tigers have informed Ryan Kreidler and Jack Lopez that they will not make the Opening Day roster but both players will remain in MLB Spring Training.
