The Detroit Tigers got a good performance from pitcher Matthew Boyd in their first of two against the Minnesota Twins today, but the offense wasn't able to provide any help as the Twins took the contest by a 2-0 score.
The Tigers will look to even up the series and get back to .500 on the season with the second game, set to get underway at 5:10 Eastern Time.
They'll send Tyler Alexander to the mound, while Jorge Bonifacio comes in to play right field for Travis Demeritte. Additionally, Grayson Greiner will start at catcher, spelling Austin Romine.
Will the Tigers get back on track in today's second of two vs. the Twins?
