The hope is that after having to postpone Saturday’s game because of rain, the Detroit Tigers and Cincinnati Reds will be able to squeeze in a straight 7-inning doubleheader on Sunday at Comerica Park.
Well, as of now, Mother Nature is not cooperating and just moments ago, the Tigers announced that Game 1, which was set to begin at 12:10 ET, is being delayed because of rain.
Ironically, the Tigers made the announcement on Twitter 8 minutes before the scheduled first pitch, which is sure to upset Reds pitcher Trevor Bauer, who is not a big fan of delays, as you can read by clicking here.
Are the Tigers trolling Trevor Bauer with their timing of this announcement? Probably not but is fun to think they may be.
Stay tuned to find out when Game 1 will begin.
