On Thursday, the Detroit Tigers dropped their final home game of the season by losing to the American League Central Champion Minnesota Twins by a score of 10-4.
Unfortunately, for those who have paid their hard-earned money to make the trip to Comerica Park to watch the Tigers, they have left disappointed a record number of times in 2019.

That’s right folks! Our beloved Tigers tied a major league record by losing 59 games at home this season. The 59 home losses ties the record set by the 1939 St. Louis Browns.
If you thought that was bad, the Tigers also set a new MLB record by posting a -221 run differential at home in 2019. That run differential breaks the previous record of -215, which according to the Elias Sports Bureau, was set by the 1883 Philadelphia Phillies.
As it stands, 2020 is not looking much brighter as the Tigers are still in the middle of a rebuild and they will not be willing to drop much (if any) money on big-name free agents any time soon.
The silver lining? The Tigers have already clinched the worst record in baseball so they will pick No. 1 overall in the 2020 MLB Draft.
