Detroit Tigers GM Al Avila joined the Bally Sports Detroit broadcast crew for tonight’s game against the Chicago White Sox to go over a few pressing matters, including the status of pitching prospect Matt Manning.
Having been rehabbing a forearm strain, Manning is currently getting his digs in with Triple-A Toledo.
“Matt’s had a bit of a rough start to the season, obviously not having a 2020 season,” Avila said. “Rehabbing an injury over the winter, he’s had a slow start. He’s making good progress.”
Avila also offered his thoughts on Miguel Cabrera:
