Why it Matters

The Tigers Major League roster is not exactly anything to call home about, and when you look at their farm system, it is certainly concerning.

  • Jobe, Jung, and Flores are the only Tigers in the Top 100
  • Only one of those three prospects is expected to play for the Tigers in 2023
  • Tigers’ President of Baseball Operations Scott Harris has a lot of work to do to build up the farm system

He is projected to make his MLB debut in 2025.

No. 83 Jace Jung (2B)

Jung, who is 22, was selected by the Tigers with the No. 12 overall pick in the 2022 MLB Draft. He will make his professional debut this year, most likely with West Michigan.

No. 95 Wilmer Flores (RHP)

Flores, who is 21, has been in the Tigers Minor League system for two seasons. During that time, he is a combined 13-8 with a 3.14 ERA in 39 games (37 starts). In 169.1 inning of work, Flores has struck out 220 and walked 47. He is expected to make his MLB debut in
