Before long, we will be talking about pitchers and catchers reporting for Detroit Tigers Spring Training in Lakeland Florida, and not long after that, it will be time for another Opening Day at Comerica Park. On Thursday, the MLB Pipeline Top 100 players were released for the 2023 season, and only three Tigers' prospects made the list. Those players are RHP Jackson Jobe, 2B Jace Jung, and RHP Wilmer Flores.
Why it Matters
The Tigers Major League roster is not exactly anything to call home about, and when you look at their farm system, it is certainly concerning.

No. 63 Jackson Jobe (RHP)
Jobe, who is 20, was selected by the Tigers as the No. 3 overall pick in the 2021 MLB Draft. In his first professional season (split between Single-A Lakeland and High-A West Michigan), he went 4-5 with a 3.84 ERA. During those starts, Jobe struck out 81 batters, while walking 30. He is projected to make his MLB debut in 2025.
No. 83 Jace Jung (2B)
Jung, who is 22, was selected by the Tigers with the No. 12 overall pick in the 2022 MLB Draft. He will make his professional debut this year, most likely with West Michigan.
No. 95 Wilmer Flores (RHP)
Flores, who is 21, has been in the Tigers Minor League system for two seasons. During that time, he is a combined 13-8 with a 3.14 ERA in 39 games (37 starts). In 169.1 inning of work, Flores has struck out 220 and walked 47. He is expected to make his MLB debut in
