According to Tigers beat writer Jason Beck, the team has interviewed Yankees 3B coach Phil Nevin:

Detroit Tigers

Nevin, 49, played 12 years in Major League Baseball with seven teams, including the Tigers from 1995 to 1997. In 2010, he was named manager of the Erie SeaTigers, Detroit’s Class-AA minor-league affiliate. He was later named the manager of the Toledo Mud Hens, where he compiled a 192–238 record before being relieved of his duties in 2013.

In 2017, he was named the 3B coach for the San Francisco Giants, where he remained for one year before being hired as the Yankees 3B coach for the following season, where he’s been ever since.

Would this be a good hire for the Tigers?
