Detroit Tigers second baseman Jonathan Schoop picked a great way to hit his 7th home run of the season tonight at Comerica Park.
With the bases loaded in the bottom of the 6th inning, Schoop blasted a grand slam to right field, extending Detroit’s lead to 7-0 over the Chicago Cubs. It’s his 7th home run of the season.

Schoop was signed by the Tigers after playing with the Minnesota Twins, and he’s demonstrated power at the plate since he first arrived in the Motor City.
