According to the Detroit Tigers, C Grayson Greiner has officially cleared waivers and has elected free agency.

It is still possible that the Tigers could bring Greiner back on a minor league deal but it seems more likely that they will look elsewhere for depth at the position.

Greiner hit .236 in just 31 games with the Tigers in 2021 as injuries once again got the best of him.
