The Detroit Tigers lost starting pitcher Michael Pineda this afternoon after only 20 pitches; he departed the game in the top of the 2nd inning after being struck on his pitching hand on a line drive by Baltimore’s Ramon Urias.
After the game, a 3-0 Tigers win, manager A.J. Hinch delivered unfortunate news regarding Pineda's status. Hinch explained that the RHP has a broken finger, and will be undergoing additional tests to determine the next best course of action.
