Detroit Tigers P Matthew Boyd has advice for people freaking out about coronavirus

MLB: Kansas City Royals at Detroit Tigers

The coronavirus is (reportedly) the first global pandemic since H1N1 and there are plenty of people who are freaking out. Don’t believe me, go to your local supermarket and try to get toilet paper, hand sanitizer, or disinfectant!

If you are freaking out about the coronavirus, that is your choice (and mine too) but Detroit Tigers pitcher Matthew Boyd has some advice for anyone living in fear.

“I think the show is going to go on as long as it can. Baseball is America’s game, America’s pastime. As players, we are doing everything we can to take care of ourselves off the field so we can be on the field.”

“If you get sick, you get sick, there’s so much that’s out of your control. You can do all you want to prevent it, but you can’t live life out of fear. That’s not living life. That’s not living as you were called to — not just in a baseball sense but in a life sense.”

Nation, do you agree with Matthew Boyd?
