The only other American League pitcher to strike out nine batters in a row is former Tigers P Doug Fister, who also struck out 9 batters in a row on 9/27/2012.
The 9 strikeouts in a row is one shy of the Major League Record 10, which was set by New York Mets P Tom Seaver all the way back in 1970.
