Detroit Tigers predicted to poach ‘no-hitter’ All-Star pitcher

Free agency is upon us as according to reports, the Detroit Tigers are prepared to spend some money as they shape their roster for the 2022 season and beyond.

The Tigers need plenty of help in the lineup but GM Al Avila has made it clear that adding a couple of veteran pitchers to the mix is equally important.

One pitcher the Tigers could have their eye on is (now former) Chicago White Sox lefty, Carlos Rodon. In fact, Tony Paul of The Detroit News predicts the Tigers will sign Rodon to a 4-year deal during the offseason.

Quite a comeback story here for the left-hander, who was non-tendered by the White Sox last winter. He re-signed with the team and had a phenomenal 5.0-WAR season, including a no-hitter. Prediction: Tigers, four years, $60 million.
During the 2021 season, Rodon was outstanding as he went 13-5 with a 2.37 ERA as he was named to the American League All-Star Team.
