Detroit Tigers projected to take another SP in 2021 MLB Mock Draft

The Detroit Tigers have selected the 1st, 5th and 1st overall Draft Picks the past three annual MLB Drafts, and if their current record is any indication, they’ll once again end up with a top pick when this season comes to a close.

And according to the very first mock draft from MLB Pipeline, we have an idea of who could soon be headed to the Motor City. They’re projecting RHP Kumar Rocker of Vanderbilt to land in Detroit with the 3rd overall selection of 2021:

Rocker earned 114 strikeouts along with a 3.25 ERA in 2019, along with 1.80 ERA in the shortened 2020 season.

Take a look at what author Jonathan Mayo had to say:

“After scuffling very briefly, Rocker has gone back to dominating the SEC, and it’s fun imagining him joining Mize, Skubal, Manning et al.,”
