According to reports, the Detroit Tigers have reached a minor-league deal with RHP Chris Smith. As noted by Robert Murray, Smith is currently rehabbing from Tommy John surgery and he is expected to return to action around Opening Day.
Smith, who is 31, last pitched in the Majors in 2017 when he went 0-0 with a 5.40 ERA in just five innings pitched.
