It’s cold outside and it is only going to get colder before spring is finally upon us. But that does not mean that Detroit Tigers’ baseball is not right around the corner!
On Monday, the Tigers released their official 2019 Spring Training dates.
From Detroit Tigers:
Tigers pitchers and catchers are scheduled to report to camp on Tuesday, February 12, with the first pitchers and catchers workout set for Wednesday, February 13. Position players are due to report to Lakeland on Sunday, February 17, and the first full squad workout will take place on Monday, February 18.
This spring will mark the Tigers 83rd season at TigerTown in Lakeland, extending the longest-standing relationship between a Major League team and a current Spring Training host city. The 2019 spring season marks the club’s 54th consecutive season of exhibition play at the newly renovated Publix Field at Joker Marchant Stadium.
