It’s no secret that the Detroit Tigers are rebuilding. And there’s nothing wrong with that, as that bell tolls for every professional sports team at one point or another.
But even as we’re getting glimpses of the future and the successes that we’re all anticipating being able to enjoy someday, we’re still reminded of the struggles of the current edition of the team. And during today’s rubber match against the Cincinnati Reds, one particular stat stands out.
In the first three games of the 2020 campaign, the Tigers offense has now struck out 43 times. And according to Fox Sports Detroit, that’s good for a franchise record – but not one that you’d want to set.
Hey, at least they’re only one game out of first place though, right?
