According to a report from Evan Woodberry, the Detroit Tigers have signed former Colorado Rockies minor league catcher, Chris Rabago.
Rabago, who is 28, has mostly been in the Rockies organization since he was selected in the 13th round of the 2014 MLB Draft. He does not yet have an at-bat at the Major League level.
From MLive:
He’s known more for his glove than his bat and could find a role in Triple-A Toledo for the Tigers in 2022. He could also function as a “fourth catcher” of sorts, as the Tigers already have three on the 40-man roster: Tucker Barnhart, Eric Haase and Dustin Garneau.
